  First off, I would not even give this establishment a one star rating at all. When we arrived, the restaurant was pretty empty with maybe 6 total tables. We sat ourselves and waited over 30 minutes for our drink orders of water to come out. Food showed up an hour and a half after we ordered simple meals of turkey sandwiches. The waiter never came to our table to check on us or set expectations that service would be slow. Other tables with different waitstaff sat and left after they too did not receive their drinks after 30 minutes of waiting. We had to ask several times for ketchup for our fries and even had to get our own napkins after several requests. When we went to pay we expressed our dissatisfaction to the manager and was surprised when we were met with a disinterest and lack of ownership for their poor service. Acknowledgment and ownership goes a long way. Very disappointed.

  Excellent food and service. The historic building.and atmosphere.add to the dinning experience. Exotic meats served with fresh local sides in a creative manor.

  Dining @ 259 is a wonderful and relaxing experience. We love going because of their deliciously unique menu & locally sourced ingredients. It is housed in a cozy historic building and staffed with the friendliest folks who really make everyone feel welcome.
